INTRO TO ENGINEERING DESIGN

This course is designed to provide broad introductory skills and knowledge of career opportunities and training requirements in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related fields. This course teaches work ethic, job skills, technical math, technical drawing, design process, safety and industry protocol and programs.  The IED curriculum poses critical thinking challenges and students must learn how to work through the process of designing solutions. Students will use technical drawings to illustrate concepts to others as well as mathematical analysis to find the best solutions. This course is an introductory course which leads into the advanced cluster of digital electronics and engineering courses offered at BHS and the ATC.
